Amazon or Walmart ?

I'm at Walmart. But I'm looking why Amazon pays way more than Walmart. Long term, isn't Amazon better since they say always go /look for a job that pays more. If minimum wage at Walmart is between $14-15 an hour. And Amazon starts at $17.50 - 20 an hour (starting). I believe both Amazon and Walmart have a 2% raise a year. Your thoughts?

My gripes with Walmart is management /horrid TL or managers. There's always exist that ONE TL and or manager that each everyone hates. Not sure with Amazon. I like the flexibility with Walmart. And no mandatory overtime. The job CAN be easy. But as mentioned at least in my opinion I have a manager that always breathes down my neck. I hate him and makes me want to just get another job. But other TL and even coaches can be cool. Just that one or several TL /managers that make the job extremely toxic. Not sure why they are difficult unless they like to feed their ego and feel special and above all .

And for Amazon, what I hear can be bad with Amazon is mandatory overtime. The good is obviously they pay more than walmart. And it seems amazon seems to have set schedules that are not flexible which can suck. Unless maybe your part-time or seasonal.

Anything that pays higher doesn't have to be amazon (just brought it up since they are both competitors) like Costco or some other factory job pay more/ is better?
