Would you rather see John Cena break Ric Flair’s record 16 time world champion record… or see him win the IC title and become a grand slam champion before he retires?..

I personally would love to see either… if he breaks Ric Flair‘s record. If anyone should do it, it should be John or Randy. There’s been talks about him potentially breaking Ric Flair‘s record for a few years now. I would love to see that… but then again since he announced his retirement… I don’t know… The title reign might feel very forced, also you’ll know he’ll lose it soon because he announced his retirement.

But it wouldn’t be pointless either… He’s definitely the one who should break the record in my opinion given as close as he is and his accomplishments. He could also defend against him younger talent like Bron Breaker or even Dominik Mysterio (would love to see Cena face Dirty Dom at a PPV or PLE even if it’s not for a title)

But also, I would love to see him perhaps when the IC title and become a grand slam champion. He could do an “IC open challenge” weekly on Raw or SmackDown similar to his “US open challenge” in 2015. There’s a lot of young talent on the roster today that I’m sure would love to have a match with John Cena… and this is their last chance… especially for the ones who aren’t ready for the main event scene yet…. and we as fans would love to see it.

Then again… He did announce his retirement… So you would know he would lose… And it might be a tad bit of a waste of a card championship to have somebody who already announced his retirement win that title designed for younger talent. But if done right… it could be great.

Which would you rather see?.. would you rather see him break Ric Flair record… or win the IC championship and become a grand slam champion?… or would it be better for him not to win any championships since he’s retiring?
