[Advice] Volvo S40 1.6D or 2.0D

Hello everyone,

I'm currently looking to buy a car and i'm thinking about getting a volvo S40. I've seen this model with different engines like 1.6D ,2.0D or even 2.4( but this is too big for me). From what i know the 1.6 and 2.0 are basically ford engines.

In terms of reliability, which one would be better?
