So, this now deleted vent has been circulating every discord server reguarding HB and Viv I am in and I do agree with people on that this was likely about Viv. But it's insane how people got info about Stolas being stolen from something so vague.
Based on the vauge information presented in the now deleted rant, we can assume the unnamed known indie VA OP refrains from name dropping is about Micheal Kovach, and the november events is in reference to the season 2 leaks. It would not be surprising if Viv had stolen Stolas's concept, especially in light of the KenDraw incident. Additionally, there is speculation regarding a connection between Stolas and an alien character from a potential indie series titled Galactic Twist. The character stolen in question is Zorrick. A user who saved an old video from Galactic Twist, featuring a clip of Zorrick with audio from 2015, shared it on a discord server recently. Sadly, I cannot publicly share this video, as those who have attempted to re-upload it in the past claimed they recieved copyright strikes from Adult Swim/Cartoon Network. We all watched the video and it's evident that Stolas and Zorrick not only share similar vocal qualities but also exhibit comparable behaviors. The conversation Zorrick was having in the video with his daughter and grandkids was similar to what happened in the beginning of the loo loo land episode. Why do I bring this random creator up? I mention this particular creator because they addressed the drama surrounding Zorrick and Stolas because people were directing them to the situation at hand, and this creator mentioned they made their blog private, and expressed trying to get a cartoon out there, which was expressed by the op about their friend in this vent.
Here is are screenshots of DMs a conversation my friend had with the creator of GT. It adds up to the what the post was talking about. And why someone got a copyright strike.
This person mentioned that the post could apply to a few people in the industry, but they didn’t clarify if they were talking about the person who made the Reddit post or the person OP was venting about (probably Viv). I suspect artsy-wolf here may have experienced a conflict with Viv at some stage given the rather odd claim. My friend tried further asking if they ever knew Viv her and this person is adamant they never had, and stopped replying. Alternatively, their vague actions could stem from a desire to avoid involvement in the ongoing drama surrounding VivziePop. Nevertheless, the creator of GT appears unfazed by the similarities between Stolas and Zorrick.
What does everyone else think? Any truth to this vent to spark controversy between two unrelated creators?
