Planning a trip

Hello. I’m going to Iceland in June for my birthday. Renting a car starting in the capital for about a day or two then going to the national park and going snorkeling. I want to see puffins aswell (I’m obsessed with puffins). That’s the most touristy it will get I think for us. I want to see the beautiful waterfalls and mountains and black sand beaches. My question is what’s the best way to go about that route and best places to stay for reasonable prices. We have a car for 9 days. We are adventurous and active and want to make the best use of the time.
