Whatever happened to Mayor Robert Cross?

Ok so it’s nothing breaking or new just general curiosity. There was once a Mayor of Victoria named Robert Cross who was in office from 1993/1994 until 1999. He appears to be an enigma as aside from a semi empty Wikipedia page and one news article about him saying he won’t run for a third term there is really no mention of him. There doesn’t even appear to be published results for the Mayors race for 1993 or 1996, the furtherest I’ve got was Alan Lowes 1999 race.

Everyone remembers the ones who followed him like Lowe, Fortin, Helps and now Alto and even the two before him are more known with one later being BCs Speaker (Brewin) and the other running for MP twice (Anderson).

Cross has seemed to be the most forgotten Mayor in Victoria past generation or two. Does anyone recall what his time was like in office? Where he has been the last 25 years? I’m kinda curious.
