Why don’t people believe in washing their hands?

I mean wtf you gotta tell grown ass people to wash there hands? Everytime a my cousins come over I have to remind them even in the bathroom I hear no water running but runs in the kitchen cooking shit & not being mindful that people hate eat behind them it’s fucking disgusting
