Curious

Lame, but a couple friends wanted to hear a few revs when leaving a restaurant. I obliged, and gave it some sweeping revs for around 30 seconds. Fun, but afterward I noticed that my oil temp was maybe 140-150F during that.

I know that the engine is fine, but it had me curious, what from an engineering standpoint what does this wear in the motor when the oil is warm but not at “optimal operating temperature” which I think for the VN is around 180-200F. I run Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5W-30.
