Help!! My side mirrors won’t fold in

I just got a 2024 vw taos 2 months ago. I want to take it to a car wash but my mirrors won't fold in. Is this normal? I tried to look it up in the manual and the manual says to fold them but they won't fold. It's the s all wheel drive 4 motion model.
