Rain sensing wiper issues

I have the rain sensing option enabled through Car > Settings > Wipers. But even after it rains, they don’t turn on automatically. I have to toggle the wiper stick manually to turn on. But, the wiper speed gets adjusted automatically, from intermittent > continuous. Do anyone of you gave the same too?
