Someone has eyes on my gym crush

So, I have worked out at the same gym for over 5 years. I may move to another town for sometime, but I will always come right back. I am the not the reserved person in the gym that works out in the corner avoiding eye contact etc. However, i am also not the skimpily dressed slay queen that's overly familiar with the trainers doing my squats in front of Bazungu and kanyamas. I am that regular "responsible looking" client dressed in normal gym clothes, who casually talks with the trainers and has like 3 guy friends and 2 lady friends that also "look responsible"

Okay, that's not to say I am a Saint. I scan the surroundings, but not for anything sinister. Just to see who needs to be doing more push ups and less beers because no the Dad bod has to go. Anyway, so I have a little crush on one of my gym friends but it is harmless. We just engage in gym banter of "add weights, don't sit" etc. And so has it been for over the last year or so. Every once in a while, we might hold hands longer than necessary, but that's it.

Sooooo, yesterday, I got there before him and when he came, as always, he comes to me and starts the teasing, my weights are light, my squats not low enough etc.. i wave him off. Then, the next time I am going for the next item, I see this slay queen in those skimpy shinny thingies up to him in his space anti the music is loud so he has to lean in abit. I am thinking there goes my crush 😆. So anyway I see the slay queen has eyes on my crush and he might not survive. But I make peace with it because I am married and "responsible looking" and I don't think if push came to shove, I would be ready for more than the hand holding.
