What’s the best excuses you’ve heard from Marines coming to your school house / unit after dropping on request from MARSOC selection or Recon school ?

Best ones I’ve heard is -

“ I don’t want to damage and obliterate my body for doing Recon training “

Had this guy in our unit go to MARSOC selection and came back a month later because his pinky broke 💀

Listen, no shame in not wanting to do it anymore or figuring it’s not for you. Just don’t make shit up to hide the fact you had 3rd class PFTs , CFTs

• I got out almost a decade ago so not sure if they still do DORs or how selection works.
