is it worth it

ill try not to make this a lengthy post but i am really stuck on what to do in the future im currently at sixth form and i had an idea of midwifery but if its okay could i be offered some insight , hows the pay the hours ? everytime i mention a career in healthcare my teachers turn their noses up
