I could be mistaken but this seems to be the first comment on the topic from Elon Musk.

I get the feeling he is told to avoid the topic at all costs but that hasn't seemed to work so possibly been told to revert to the ridicule tactic?

Him mentioning now won't boost it and him mocking it is seen as the more worthwhile option?
