Knife Laws in the UAE?

Greetings all.

I want to carry a knife with me for self-defence, but I want to make sure if that's legal or not.

I would like to know the knife laws here in the UAE. Is it legal to carry blades? If so, what kind of blades? Can one conceal blades? In what environments would one be able to carry blades?
