i honestly hate the phrase “having his baby”

mini rant but it's this or when a woman tells a man "i want to have your babies" it makes me feel actual nausea. like the giving over of power to men is so Embedded within romantic and emotional dynamics. Like no, you're not having his babies. That's your baby too. You are having your own baby, or you both are having a baby.

The language "his babies" makes it sound like the woman is just a breeding incubator for the man, as if he already has full ownership and i think it's weird that this is a phrase that is still used.
