There is no excuse question, I just wanna talk about how cool HUNK is

Fuckin love that guy and his whole deal of just being a grunt who’s really good at his fucking job. He’s the Boba Fett of RE.

It’s really funny as well as I’m not normally a fan of the “tacticool” school of aesthetics, but damn it works for him. I dig it in the same way I dig Winter Soldier’s initial comic and initial movie looks. Helps as well that HUNK’s got a light kit on him. 4 guns at maximum (RE2 remake) and just 1 at the minimum (RE4 Mercenaries) and he’ll make it work.

Though you gotta admit from a lore perspective…he really doesn’t do anything important. Like that G virus sample is one of a million dropped plot points, he never interacts with the main protagonists barring a spin off game of dubious canon, and has only one hard canon event of The 4th Survivor story. Also just the oddity of Umbrella having 2 military trained units of the Security Service (HUNK’s division) and the UBCS (Carlos’ division) and they apparently have nothing to do with each other.
