Is Twitter mocking me, or am I just that uninteresting?
Here’s the story: I had an account where I quickly gained about 950 followers, but I abandoned it for six months because I had a baby. Recently, I decided to start posting again and aimed to reach 1k followers by the end of the year. However, neither quality posts nor 20 replies a day have yielded any results; in fact, my follower count has dropped to 910, lol.
Before, I consistently had 600+ impressions per post, and now sometimes it’s just 15 :D
I thought about what I could do about this. Maybe I’m shadowbanned? I checked with a service, and it said everything was fine. While on the site, I stumbled upon an active follower analyzer—40% of my followers are dead accounts, and I’ve never bought bots.
I asked Grok (first mistake?) what to do about this: either delete all tweets or create a new account. I chose the second option.
The instructions suggested changing the username for the account and deactivating it. So, I did just that. I created a new account, chose the same username, filled out my profile again, and started posting—let’s say mediocre content, but some of it is quite decent—and continued replying with about 20 replies a day.
And what happened? I have 0 followers! Zero! How is that statistically possible? My posts on this zero-account are getting around 140 impressions.
I asked a friend to try opening my profile—he can’t load my account.
Support hasn’t responded for four days.
So please tell me—am I really that bad, or is there a technical issue with my account?
Since this is Reddit, 95% of you will probably say I’m an idiot, but I hope the remaining 5% might try to follow me (you can unfollow later) and let me know if it’s even possible!
