The dialogue in this season is so elementary

It’s a shame cause I like the setting and think Foster is a great actress but whoever wrote the script did a piss poor job. It’s the typical forced, straightforward dialogue that just sorta kills your sense of immersion, which is a particular shame in this case and the setting is probably the only thing left this season has going for it.

Also we are half way through the season and I’m not feeling the chemistry between the leads at all. I don’t have anything else to say except this is disappointing and the people insisting it’s amazing or lord forbid on par with S1 are at best politically/ideologically motivated and at worst part of some weird psyop.

EDIT: clarifying the “psyop” thing there is legitimate concern and discussion in some more niche circles regarding the quality and production of arts (film/television included) and how modern media is watered down and made narratively accessible for marketing purposes at the expense of quality and thematic depth.
