Is it faith + obedience? Or just faith?

The bible says even the demons believe and tremble and it also says many will say on judgement day they knew God and did all these works for him but still are going to the lake of fire because they were living lawlessnessly, another part talks about there being no more sacrifice remaining for willfully sinning. So it sounds to me it's more than just faith? Its faith and obeying God's words. Obviously I'm not saying the second you slip up your doomed but if you continue to live in willful sins and not care but accept the fact that Jesus is real and died for you it doesn't matter? Like if you believe in Jesus but live in rebellion against his words with your actions you still go to hell? Is that correct?
