Give me some non-doomer juice

I know this cuts against the grain of the current vibe of the pod and this sub, but is there any shred of positivity out there?

The left ideology is in a tough spot. The neolib world order is collapsing, and while a few years ago (circa the Bernie runs) we may have had the hope that leftism would rise in it's ashes, it now instead seems like the world would prefer to take a turn towards right wing populism and tech-brained ultra capitalism.

I'm hyper-aware of all that and stewing in the doom juice over here. The problem is that there's really nothing productive about this world view. I think the "dirtbag left" or whatever you want to call it, has almost completely stopped engaging in any sort of prescriptive politics and instead just sits and comments on how bad everything is. The only exception would be things like when Chapo brings on a union leader to talk about their collective bargaining situation and paths forward.

I think mostly I'm trying to engage with politics on a smaller more local scale where maybe more positive change is possible. Also, despite whatever is happening in the world, today I still got to spend time with my dog, see some friends, eat good food, so there's that.
