Ice Cream Producers

Can anyone tell me when I should merge and retire my ice cream producers? I feel like it's not worth it to keep them for much longer because I have to wait too long to get a max milkshake for too little reward. I'm trying to save some space on my board. I'm level 47, one upgrade away from level 48. I also added a current screenshot of my board for anyone wondering.
