'07 Crewmax -- Bad clockspring?

Greetings, first time poster, long time reader. Owner of a 2007 Tundra Crewmax which I've owned for 13 years. Just hit 240,000 miles.

A few months ago, the airbag light went, and my mechanic told me it was the clock spring. Also quoted me $750 to replace it. Given that I'm semi-mechanically inclined, after carefully studying the problem (read: watched a bunch of Youtube videos), I replaced it with an aftermarket version I purchased from what I'm certain is a highly-reputable source. Shockingly, after putting everything back together...the light is still on.

So, did I get a bad clockspring? Or does one need to go to an Autozone for them to plug in and zero out the codes?
