Iconic/Cover Weapons from a game (series) that are one of the worst weapons in game or meh at best. (Magic and Pokémon can apply here)

1. Wooden Bat, Mother 1 & 2, Ness is generally depicted with the Wooden Bat, but it's the 2nd bat you get, this one is more meh than bad.

2. The Assault Rifle, Halo, in particular the MA5B from Halo Combat Evolved. So meh in gameplay the Assault Rifle wasn't in Halo 2 and was instead replaced with the SMG and Battle Rifle.

3. The Buster Sword, FF7, at one point the Buster Sword was one of the worst weapons in FF7, idk if that held true across all the remakes.

The Fourth image is just for pose consistency, the Assault Rifle from Halo 3 (MA5C) is decent improvement over the original.

The pose is a trope in itself I guess.
