Corrosion on tool battery, removal methods?

I just opened this dewalt battery to tighten the contacts and noticed all this corrosion and rust, it dosnt seem to affect the performance just wondering if there is a decent way to remove it? I’ve always soaked rusty hand tools in vinegar for a few days not sure if that’d work here
