As a Tool fan I gotta admit after all these years that the phenomenon of psychofans trying to beat the "interesting facts" into the non-Tool listeners' heads needs to be stopped.

(Honestly do whatever you want, I just needed to express this bitter feeling)

What I mean is there are those guys who will show Tool to someone and as soon as they're invested they're spoiling, ruining and simplifying the experience of listening to Tool by saying something like: - "The Grudge has a 25/28/29 second scream" (I have heard different versions) - "Lateralus' beat and vocals are based on a Fibonacci sequence" - "Pneuma has one of the hardest drum pieces ever" And so on

I think by saying it or explaining the methaphor of the song, you're taking away new listeners' opportunity to really fall in love with the band. Let them discover it alone, explain it only if they really ask you. Thanks
