Onryou Zashiki Haunted House at Tokyo Dome
Basically I'm wondering if anyone else has visited this haunted house and can tell me whether there were live cast members there to scare you, or just puppets/animatronics?
Just FYI I live in Tokyo but this is more of a touristy question so I think it would break the rules at r/tokyo.
I actually went to the house a couple of months ago with some friends. I thought the design and almosphere were brilliant. I actually wished I was less scared so that I could slow down and admire it all.
Behind us were a pair of girls, maybe eleven or twelve, carrying a 'safety lantern' to ward off the biggest scares. The girls caught up with us and stayed fairly close. I think we made them feel safer!
However, I'm now wondering if their safety lantern effectively became ours, and we didn't get the full jump-scare treatment?
There was also one rule before we entered that said not to assault staff, implying there are cast members inside.
I'm trying to decide if I should / would dare to go again, and what to say if I recommend it to visitors.
Thanks in advance!
