The double standard regarding Timebomb (in some part of the Arcane fandom. From some people in Arcane fandom.) is disgusting.

Silco and Jinx's relationship as father and daughter: oh look guys, Silco's love for Jinx is so great. It makes me cry when He said that She is perfect. He is so nuanced, so complex. Greatest dad ever.

Even though Jinx knows because of him that the event of Episode 3 of Season 1 happens. Even though He is enabling Jinx's chaotic side. Even though Jinx knows that Silco stabbed Vander in that factory. Even though Silco is a bad influence for Jinx. Even though He is lying about Vi. They are not even blood-related.

And if Silco is still Alive, we are okay that Jinx still stays with Silco, because He loves her so much.

Timebomb: no guys, it is not realistic. She kills His friends, and she wants to Kill him too. She works for Silco, and they flooded Zaun with Shimmer. It's against all that Ekko stands for. There is no way Ekko and the Firelight will ok with Her. Ekko and the Firelight want to Kill Her, so they target Her, (This one is so dumb, I saw it on the YouTube comment section. This commenter doesn't like Timebomb happen because of this, Not because Jinx kills some of Ekko's friends. Crazy work I tell you. lol) She has a lot of trauma. She can't have a normal relationship. (And I see some part of the Arcane fandom thinking like this about Timebomb.)

Even though Ekko's Arc is about forgiveness, His love for Zaun, and Jinx is an embodiment of Zaun itself. Even though Ekko is a good guy, He would be a good influence for Jinx. (The show tells us that Jinx needs someone on Her side who can give her a good influence, someone who can help Her to heal. We got that in the form of Isha in season 2.) Even though The Firelight would be a healthy community for Her. Even though Ekko and Jinx are a childhood friend.

It is contradictory to think that Ekko and Jinx can't have a romantic relationship, but Jinx and Silco can have a father-and-daughter relationship. It's the same argument, it's a toxic relationship.

But I would say that Ekko and Jinx would not be in a Toxic relationship just because Ekko isn't a toxic guy. And Jinx is already saner than Her version from season 1 anyway, She just needs to be around a healthy people/community. (And don't get me even started about the fact that the show itself gives us a cheat code of how to heal traumatized people in the Runeterra universe in the form of Isha.)

And this is not a post about hating Silco guys, ok. It's just to make a point.
