Funky Jamaican Rum and Pineapple. A match made in heaven?
A few weeks ago I grabbed a bottle of Hamilton pot stilled black Jamaican rum. It was not a pleasant flavor. Way too much funk and I couldn’t get it to mix well in a Mai tai or a zombie or a hurricane. Then I had a random pineapple core that I tossed it with in a jar. I tasted it a week later and it was lovely. I’ve since made a killer PK and jungle bird using it. Anyone know why those two flavors worked so well together? And other flavor combos that you find compelling? Maybe something with Agricole?
