The best strategy is spamming / combos

Mostly because all the other strategies suck.

Take counter punching for example: Counter punching requires exploiting an opponent’s opening as they are punching. But if you have 100ms latency between you and the opponent, by the time you see their punch and an opening, they’ve already retracted their guard.

Spamming is even better in the game since the requirement for room scale is the size of a phone booth… plus there is no delay between punches within a combo.

Best way to get damage in half the time feels like punching where you think they would be 100ms from where they are now rather than exploiting openings or punching accurately.

If we want to reduce spam in the game (turn it into more boxing instead of a great cardio workout), the devs need disincentive throwing a bunch of punches which miss, kinda like IRL matches.

Maybe just take the metric we had in TOTF 1 for Punches Landed / Thrown into account for scoring?
