Goodbye ThredUp

I was a long time user of ThredUp, started in 2015 and loved it. I loved that I could get thrifted clothes for cheap and continue the cycle by selling my clothes. But then…

*Prices went up more and more every year and I stayed. It’s part of the time and I still felt like I was getting a deal.

*They started to charge for sell out bags and I luckily had a bit of old bags from prior to the change. I stayed because I did a giant clean out and told myself that was it. Paid one time for a bag and my payout was a whopping $1.

*They started to ship using an off brand shipper and lost many packages to them being delivered to random places. I stayed because at least I got my credits back.

*They are stopping their rewards program….

*They made shopping more complicated and annoying by limiting your search function and it had to show what is currently unavailable….

The real reason I kept coming back was because I always had credits that needed to be used. I would order something and always have an exchange or return but I am happy to say that I officially spent all my credit! Deleted the app today after my try on and I am happy to not be handcuffed with a failing company.
