In a show that focuses on showing bad dysfunctional relationships between parents and their adult children, these two are the opposite. They seem to have a mature adult child & parent relationship where they respect each other's autonomy and boundaries as adults who can make their own decisions. They also seem to just genuinely like being around each other.

When Zion walked in on his mom with Pornchai he could have been grossed out, angry or judgmental. Instead he asked if she needed some more time and let her get herself situated before he entered. They then talked it out and joked about it later at breakfast. You can tell he wants to see his mom happy.
