This series needed to happen to put future players off metagaming

The big problem with this year's players is they were doing what they thought the players should've done in Series 2, regardless of how it applied to their situation in their own series.

They kept asking why they were still in the game, because they were paranoid someone was saving them as the Mollie to their Harry. This is why Leon suddenly got very cold with Leanne.

Their metagaming completely defeated the point of not revealing the Traitors in the final banishments, because it wasn't about trusting the other players at all, it was just about avoiding the result of the last series at all costs.

They were so paranoid they were getting Paul'd or Harry'd and going after the most likeable and charismatic people, and I think felt discouraged from seeming nice or kind to others. Getting Armani only encouraged this. They were scared to be friendly, and so the most belligerent and mean voices like Leanne, Joe and Livi dominated the round table, and only bonded with anyone through cliquey gossiping and ostracising others. Any time Alexander tried to be civil the crabs dragged him back into the bucket. He was the only one who understood that just because you can't be trusting and loyal, doesn't mean you can't be civilised and humane.

They kept suspecting people on the basis that a TV producer would find them a compelling pick for a Traitor, and making needlessly personal comments about their character and job.

Metagaming really brought out the worst in everyone. I hope the only metagaming this series inspires for next year's players is to avoid making asses of themselves on TV like this lot. I think the biggest boon this series could have given them is the knowledge that they could end up in a final in which they are all Faithfuls.
