why is it Dr. Robby's job

to track down the incel boy? I understands he overextends himself and cares too much. Plus I appreciated the whole speech about what leads boys to violence, though it did feel straight from the writers' room to his mouth.

But if I'm the mother Theresa I'm not going back to an overworked ER to asked the attending about petitioning. Why not talk to the pediatrician? Guidance counselor at school? Was there any concerning behavior at school beyond his journal?

I know the answer is "it's a show and Dr. Robby has to be involved" but it takes me out whenever Theresa shows up. As qualified and proactive Robby is, it's just not his job and by episode 11 he is doing the work of two people. It's not like he's tracking down any other patient who leaves with a questionable future. Or anyone. Dr. Mackay isn't tracking down Piper nor is Dr. Santos tracking down the Dunns etc
