how to get water out of water stained uggs?

hi, long story short i was driving back to college today and my cat threw up on one of my uggs. i freaked out and used stain remover and then ran them under water and blow dried them. i had never owned uggs before and had no idea how to clean them so now i am realizing i might have made a mistake. how do i get out the water stain? i have seen people recommend vinegar or cornstarch — which one works better? can i use both? i am devastated as these were my Christmas present this year and i barely got to wear them.
