Prachuap Khiri Khan, Ranong, Koh Phayam, Koh Phra Thong, Khao Sok, Koh Pha Ngan

Hello Fellow Travelers!

Wondering if I can get some input and opinion on a planned itinerary I have for our next trip to Thailand. We will be traveling for about 3.5 weeks in Southern Thailand - mainly going places we have never been to yet. Very excited :)

Prachuap Khiri Khan - Plan to take the train to Khiri Khan from BKK and stay 3 nights. I have never been but it sounds like a lovely place based on what I have read - more of a local town than Hua Hin by my reading - i.e.  Khiri Khan is not exactly a tourist town. Any recommendations on must sees, dos, eat, stay in the area? I have watched some videos and it looks like Ao Mano (non air base side) is a nice place to relax, there looks to be a couple interesting looking temples.

Ranong - I have been here for the total of 1 day about 8 years ago going to little Koh Chang - Just wandered around the town - I found it quite interesting and culturally diverse. Is it worth staying for a couple nights?

Koh Phayam - Always has been on my list but have never visited. Any highlights anyone wants to share? Loved little Koh Chang when I went  there years ago.

Koh Phra Thong - I am really looking forward to checking out Phra Thong - never been. The geography, nature and relatively unknown character makes it interesting to me, along with the Moken cultural element. Any tips from travelers who have been to Phra Tong?

Khao Sok - I've been twice but my partner never has - The floating hut experience is really neat and the nature is stunning. It is a huge area and, correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel as if tourist all end up doing somewhat of the same things as each other when they visit - i.e. go trekking in the same areas and end up staying in some of the main resorts. Does anyone have a particularly interesting/unique experience they'd recommend someone to look into?

Koh Pha Ngan - We love the NW part of the island and stayed near Haad Salad last time we went. Chaloklum is a lovely little village as well. Any other gems worth checking out? Haad Rin is out for us ;)

Thanks in advance for sharing! I have spent much time in Thailand living in both BKK and MHS at different points in my life. Thailand is a country that has my heart and I greatly enjoy visiting as often as I can.
