Teacher "influencers" who burned themselves out

So this thread got me thinking:

Who are some teachers "influencers" who lectured other teachers to give their all to their profession, but who also couldn't sustain their manic work habits?

Remember "pocketful of primary"? I honestly don't remember if she advocated that we were supposed to follow her example, but she put crazy amounts of extra time into her work. She's no longer teaching, and is some sort of education consultant. I'm not trying to put her down at all, I do remember watching a few of her videos and knowing that what she was doing was not sustainable.

Ron Clark runs his own school which heavily screen its students, and is not a day-to-day teacher.

Erin Gruwell (Freedom Writers movie) burned out after four years, and lost her marriage in the process. Hollywood pointed to her as an example of how teachers should make massive sacrifices for their students.

I'm interested to read other examples.
