Current models scale and possible refresh?

Hello everyone, deathguard player here looking into starting a second, shooty-focused army and I have been looking into potentially getting into Tau. What worries me though is the current scale and kit of some of the models. For example I looked at the sprue of some firewarrios and they seem to be reminiscent of the old guard infantry with their oversized heads. Now, I know that wh40k models are supposed to be heroic scale; however, I much prefer the more proportionate size of recent models. Also, the poses of the kits seem quite rigid?!

To be honest, with a good paintjob I could probably overlook all of the above, but it makes me think. Is there any chance that kits like firewarrios and crisis suits will be getting a refresh within the next year or so?
