Offensive ba to?

I've come across this post sa threads and some comments said it should be "women" instead of females. Bakit kaya? Wala naman intention to insinuate anything or be offensive, pero honest question lang tlga ito. Or i need to touch some grass ba?

Bilang straight na babae, i find nothing wrong naman sa pag gamit ng term na "females". Sa mga Pilipino kaya, offensive ba ito?
