Thoughts on IUI

I’m scheduled to start IUI this month but hearing that I could consider skipping IUI and go straight to IVF for higher chances. - Any thoughts on this? Some also mentioned that doctors can try to put you through “extra” work to rack up insurance spend for their benefit. I haven’t “shopped” for my doctor, just went to one referred by my OBGYN. I’m in NYC, if that matters.

I’m 33F with PCOS (130lbs, 5’5), on metformin. I have high AMH and high testosterone. Husband, 33, no issues with sperm and healthy.
