i’m too young for this (rant)

i have had jaw clicking issues ever since i got my braces off (a little over 3 years ago). since then, my parents and i have tried with no success to get help from my dentist and orthodontist. i had a guard made for me to sleep with after being told by my orthodontist that i probably grind or clench at night. i physically cannot fall asleep with it because it blocks my breathing and my swallowing. ive tried, and i wake up with my mouth feeling more sore than it does usually, and feeling tired from no sleep. i’m convinced that braces caused my jaw to shift and that the problem does not come from clenching/grinding. my dentist said there was no indication in my mouth that clenching or grinding is the problem. i don’t want to have to deal with this the rest of my life but i have no idea what to do. im not sure my family has the money to do anything else (like see a specialist). i get really bad headaches from just opening and closing my mouth. i can’t chew gum unless i want to be in pain for the rest of the day, and sometimes my jaw locks up and i can’t open it. i can’t yawn normally, i can’t talk, eat, or do anything without a click that hurts. does anyone have any advice that helped them because all google tells me is that i’ll need surgery or botox if a night guard doesn’t work.
