Help: Switch Pro controller shoulder buttons not working.

I got a pro controller as a gift. The shoulder buttons dont work. Its too late to return. I took it apart. The buttons look fine. I cleaned everything and replaced the trigger ribbon. It still doesnt work. What could the problem be?
