Am I the only one who's getting this?

After so many extentions (like 3 or more short ones from the near beginning of the song) it quickly turns into a jumbled mess where there's this wierd background noise that completely overwhelms every other sound, along with the infamous "V4 shimmer effect" as loud and clear as ever and it's to the point where it doesn't even sound like a song anymore. I never encountered anything like this on version 2, 3, and 3.5. Is it this way for you too? (Also thought I should note, it is especially prevalent in hard rock and the metal genre in its entirety)
