Just reterminated the dishy cable into a wall jack, 35, -96.74
I've had varying download speeds from 30 mbps to approx 350 mbps. Since I installed about 3 weeks back. So far as a solution in beta testing for rural areas I see this as a major improvement over local radio wave isps who charge $80 a month for a measly 7-15 mbps download and virtually 1 mbps upload. The main issue I can see is the packet loss for the ability to run voip (based on bata statistics). I would recommend bumping the cable from the dishy to the poe injector to CAT6(hopefully wishing of higher than 1 gbps speeds) though. Other than those minor things I have been extremely happy with switching from suddenlink with a cap of sometimes 150mbps in my area. The beta downtime is worth the advance is this technology for people in the rural areas that don't have fiber, or are stuck with slow internet speeds due to lack of options.
