"Sorry, this post has been removed by the moderators of r/StLouis."

EDIT: The lead mod (/u/meson537) has responded here. They said:

0% interest in moderating videos, very little interest in seeing Reddit go in the direction of a video sharing platform [...]

To which I say, perhaps it's time for a change in moderation.

Hi everyone,

I've been trying to message the mods about making a change to the subreddit. However, they don't answer their modmail, and direct messages to the individual mods have gone unanswered.

My request is that we start allowing video posts on r/StLouis. Over the weekend, I noticed there were several examples of people who were trying to share details and video of storm damage that affected the area. It's very difficult to do so on r/stlouis because the mods have video submissions disabled.

I posted about this again this morning, only to find that the mods—who have otherwise been silent on this issue—conveniently chose to take down my post.

I'd like to draw attention to this, as it seems like our moderators aren't interested in the opinions of the community, and are willing to stamp out any attention to this topic they can. Has anyone else experienced similar behavior from the mods? Thanks.
