How has sprinting changed you as a person - physically and mentally.?
After browsing through the subreddit, I noticed that majority of the posts here are about YouTube video of sprint race and question on better technique on sprinting; etc ... I thought perhaps I should ask fellow sprinter personal question on the benefit of sprinting and how it has changed you.
After 3 years of long distance running, I took up sprinting and I must say that sprinting has radically changed me physically. My skin looks and feels tighter, my muscles are hardened, and I feel stronger. I have also gained weight perhaps due to muscle gain. Mentally, I feel calmer.
I am in that transitional period of my life - just graduated and looking for job etc, so most days I'm easily frustrated and aggressive. All I just need to do is hit the tracks and go full swing (100 meters run, 10 sets) and my body is calm and regains its mental composure. Sprinting, for me, is a therapeutic remedy.
Id love to hear your story. How has sprinting changed you as a person- mentally and physically.
