Jailed for Larceny for “manipulating self checkout kiosk” ?

Me and my ex were arrested after continued harassment at the local Walmart Supercenter (where me and my ex both were both management but ended up leaving our 7 year Walmart positions due to harassment from coworkers and upper management mainly related to us being gay in this rural southern town) for Larceny of $89 worth of “Miscellaneous Grocery Items”. The items in question were just shopped by me and my ex through the Spark App. After shopping the order, as we were exiting the store, the same AP employee who regularly harassed us the most was standing at the doors and grabbed the cart. We showed the receipt for the order provided to us in the Spark App, but he wouldn’t acknowledge it. We basically just said “explain to the customer why they aren’t getting their order. We aren’t wasting our time arguing with you.” They kept trying to coerce us into the AP office by saying we were committing a felony if we left. We ignored them and left. Ultimately, we were arrested a few months afterwards. We paid bond and hired my family’s attorney to represent us, and he got the case dismissed by providing evidence that the items we were accused of stealing were already paid for by the Walmart/Spark customer (I believe is what he said he did, anyways. We never appeared in court personally.)

This interaction that resulted in warrants being issued for our arrests occurred following continued harassment from “Asset Protection” accusing us of theft, even dumping a shopping cart filled with an order over on top of me and the AP employee’s manager luckily showed up just as this occurred and told the AP employee to stop.

I have videos of them screaming at us and acting like lunatics.

I’m curious if anyone else has had similar experiences with Spark?
