How so you capture emotions in your songs?

When I listened "All flowers in time bends towards the sun" by Jeff Buckley. I've listened to this song over 5 times know and still cannot understand how artist are able to capture so much emotion in there songs and make you the listener express them.

The same can be said with artist like Cleo Sol and Micheal Jackson. Both have albums that make feal alive. Mother by Cleo Sol makes me feel at peace while Thriller by MJ makes me want to jump and dance. How can I do the same
