BF’s “hidden from quick add”

Hi all! So I went on my boyfriends snapchat and I saw that in his "hidden from quick add" option on "quick add" is filled with girls and only girls. Is there an explanation for this? Can anyone explain why this is? I don't understand the feature at all and I might be working myself up for no reason, so I would really love some help! Thank you in advance!
