Why do people teabag in Smash

There used to be a time whenever I’d see someone teabag it would drive me crazy. Now I just teabag in return to show them I dont care whether I win or lose. But what I wonder is why do people teabag so much in smash? I play other fighting games and even if I’m getting destroyed there wont be that kind of childish behaviour so what is it about smash that makes people want to teabag?
